Who we are
Wise Caregiving® is owned and operated by Danielle Foley in Quebec, Canada. This policy covers https://wisecaregiving.com. Our online store at shop.wisecaregiving.com runs on Shopify and has its own privacy policy.

What we collect
- Email sign-ups. When you request a free state checklist or join our list, we collect your email address and the state you selected.
- Contact form. When you write to us, we collect your name, email address and message.
- Purchases. Orders are placed and paid for on our Shopify store. We receive your name, email address, billing details and order history. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data. We collect standard data such as your IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and the site that referred you.
- Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Comments are not open on this site, so we do not collect comment data.
How we use it
- To send the checklist or information you asked for.
- To send occasional emails about new guides, state licensing updates and shop offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer your questions and support your purchases.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To show advertising and measure how it performs.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and spam.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and advertising
A cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies when you first visit. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings icon.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site.

- Ad measurement. We may use Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) tools to measure whether our ads lead to visits or purchases.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed for that purpose:

- Shopify and Shopify Email (store, payments, email list)
- OptinMonster and Zapier (sign-up forms and checklist delivery)
- WPForms (contact form)
- Microsoft 365 (business email)
- CookieYes (cookie consent)
- Trustpilot (customer reviews)
- Jetpack, Wordfence and SiteLock (site performance and security)
Some of these providers store data outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Contact messages: up to 2 years.
- Order records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Analytics data: according to Google Analytics retention settings.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to marketing emails. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as Quebec’s Law 25, Canada’s PIPEDA, the GDPR or the CCPA. You may also complain to your local privacy regulator.
Children
This site is for adults starting or running a home care business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use security tools, encrypted connections and reputable providers to protect your information. No website can guarantee complete security.
